When Will Southwest Release October, November & December Flights?
When will Southwest release October, November and December 2019 flights? The airline has opened the Southwest Flight Schedule for booking through August 5, 2019, so these flights are not yet available.
The next release of flights is scheduled for February 7, 2019 when Southwest will open bookings through September 2, 2019.
The airline tends to open flights about every four to 12 weeks, so we expect that October through mid-November flights to come in mid to late March with holiday flights for November and December in April or May.
You can begin booking flights at 5 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on the release date, according to Southwest Airlines. Note: This date sometimes changes, so keep checking back for updates.

If you are looking to book a flight over the 2019 holidays, fares are going to be high, unfortunately. Typically, your best bet at getting a lower fare during these busy times is to book early, though keep an eye open for a Southwest sale to get lower prices.
Be sure to check out the best Southwest fares from 30+ cities whenever there is a Southwest sale, which I share as soon as they are posted and offer the best deals I can find for your review.
Southwest Hawaii Flights
Also, we’re awaiting the release of Southwest’s first flights to Hawaii, which we hope will be available for booking sometime in early 2019.
Earning the Southwest Companion Pass
If you’d like to bring someone free with you on your fall Southwest flights, I highly recommend earning the Southwest Companion Pass, which is good for up to two years. You simply need to apply for two Southwest credit cards when their bonuses are between 50,000-60,000 points after meeting the minimum spend.
Once you accrue 110,000 qualifying points, you’ll have a pass where one person can always fly free with you (aside from the $5.60 mandatory government security fee per way).
