When will Southwest release October, November and December 2018 flights? The airline has opened the Southwest Flight Schedule for booking through November 2, 2018. They will release flights through January 6, 2019 on May 31, 2018.

You can begin booking flights at 5 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on the release date, according to Southwest Airlines. Note: This date sometimes changes, so keep checking back for updates.

I know many of you are anxious to begin scheduling holiday flights in November and December. Typically, your best bet at getting a lower fare during these busy times is to book early.

Southwest extends the flight schedule about every six to 12 weeks.

Earning the Southwest Companion Pass

If you’d like to bring someone free with you on your fall Southwest flights, I highly recommend earning the Southwest Companion Pass, which is good for up to two years. You simply need to apply for two Southwest credit cards when their bonuses are between 50,000-60,000 points after meeting the minimum spend.

Once you accrue 110,000 qualifying points, you’ll have a pass where one person can always fly free with you (aside from the $5.60 mandatory government security fee per way).
