When will Southwest release April, May and June 2019 flights? Flights are now OPEN through April 7, 2019. The remaining April flights will be released on September 27, 2019 when Southwest opens flights through June 8, 2019.

The Southwest flight schedule comes in batches. This can be frustrating if you have a confirmed trip that you’d like to plan after that date.

When Will Southwest Release April, May & June 2019 Flights?

Southwest release April May June 2019 flights

I don’t know about you, but when Southwest released flights through April 7, I was able to book our outgoing Spring Break flight, but not our returning flight, which would fall AFTER April 7.

I am looking forward to the release date of September 27 to be able to finish booking our trip to Turks and Caicos. We’ll be flying from Ft. Lauderdale to the islands (because it’s SO cheap to fly from Ft. Lauderdale) and likely taking a discount airline from Indianapolis to Fort Lauderdale.

Southwest says you can begin booking flights at 5 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on the release date, and Go to Travel Gal readers have confirmed that the flights are available online at the time. However, some readers tried to book via the Southwest app and were not seeing these flights available quite that early.

So make a note in your calendar, set your alarms and get ready to book as soon as they are available! Many readers report they find the best fares as soon as flights are opened, including reader Jim S. who said he booked at 5 a.m. and just a couple hours later the flights were already $50 more!

Southwest typically releases new dates about every six weeks.
