How to Find and Use Your Chase Refer a Friend Link
Looking for your Chase Refer a Friend link or a Chase referral link for your airline or other Chase Ultimate Rewards cards? It can be tough to find!
Referral links are a great way to quickly earn miles and points toward free travel. Plus, if you hold the Southwest Rapid Rewards Chase cards, the referral points from those cards qualify for the Southwest Companion Pass.
The Southwest Companion Pass is an amazing deal from Southwest Airlines that lets you fly one person free with you from the time you earn the pass until the end of the FOLLOWING year. You must collect 110,000 qualifying Southwest points to earn the pass, but it’s easier than it sounds.
Download my free guide below, and I’ll show you exactly how to do it in just two to three steps in just a couple months.
Plus, Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to Southwest Airlines for even more points, which means MORE FREE flights!
To apply for any credit cards, please start at TRAVEL CREDIT CARDS in the main menu above. My blog depends on affiliate income, and these links allow me to earn a commission — at NO COST TO YOU — to help me pay the blogging bills and continue to bring you great information FREE! Thanks for taking this step.
How to Find Your Chase Refer a Friend or Chase Referral Link
I first noticed my referral opportunity when I was logged on to my Chase credit card account. An ad on the side advertised the fact that I could earn points by referring friends to the card. I clicked the ad and made my way to my link.
BUT there’s an easier way — and it works for any Chase credit card, including Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Ink Preferred! Here goes:
- Simply go to www.ChaseReferaFriend.com.
- Enter your last name, zip code and the last 4 digits on your Chase card.
- Click Continue.
- The resulting screen will tell you if you are eligible for a referral link.
Is Everyone Eligible to Get a Referral Link?
The bad news is no, they are not. For example, I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred referral link and one for my personal Southwest Premier card, but they will not give me one for my Southwest Premier business card.
I have called and asked and they tell me the marketing department decides who is and is not eligible and no I cannot speak to anyone else about, nor is there anything I can do about it. Bummer!
But try each Chase card that you own on the above page and see which ones allow you to have referral links. You never know!
How Many Points Can I Earn?
- With Chase Sapphire Preferred, you can earn 10,000 points per person referred up 50,000 points each year.
- For Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards cards, you can earn 10,000 points per person referred up to 50,000 points each year across ALL Southwest cards. Referral points from the Southwest card helped me earn my second and third Companion Passes! See how I earned my 2017 Companion Pass with NO card sign-ups.
What Can I Do With My Chase Referral Points?
If you earn Chase Ultimate Rewards, you can use them to book flights directly through Chase Ultimate Rewards or transfer them to airline and hotel partners, including Southwest, British Airways, Air France, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, United and Virgin Atlantic.
Hotel transfer partners include Hilton, IHG, Marriott and Ritz-Carlton.
I prefer to TRANSFER points, because I can book flights on Southwest for WAY cheaper than booking through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal.
If you earn Southwest Rapid Rewards points, you can use those to book free travel on Southwest anytime anywhere with NO blackout dates.
Referral points earned from the Chase Southwest cards (NOT any other card) also qualify toward the 110,000 points you need to earn the Southwest Companion Pass.
This is an easy way to quickly earn 50,000 of the 110,000 points you will need to earn the pass!
How Can I Promote My Chase Refer a Friend Link?
Share it with friends and family via email telling them all the awesome free travel you’ve been able to enjoy thanks to the bonus on this card.
Direct them to GotoTravelGal.com so they can download my free ebook on how to earn their very own Southwest Companion Pass and start flying FREE on Southwest Airlines.
You can also share your referral link on social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
It may also take some in person talking through it as many people are afraid of credit cards.
Or start your very own blog to share your travel experiences and share with your readers. BlueHost has a great deal for blog hosting, which you will need to start a blog, starting at just $3.49 per month.
Here is my post on how to set up your very own travel — or other — blog in 30 minutes or less, as well as some tips on how to earn income by blogging.
