Did you know…

The average lowest priced round trip reward flight on Southwest® is 10,182 points?

That’s a pretty amazing stat from Southwest!

The stat was determined based on the lowest round trip reward flight available for each of Southwest’s 251- to 2,500-mile city pairs.

We have booked some even lower than that, including around 7,700 round-trip to New York City, ~5,000 points round-trip to Las Vegas and around 6,000 round trip to Washington, D.C.!

And I’ve even seen one-way flights on Southwest for as low as ~800 points.

You can REALLY fly far on Southwest points, especially with the Southwest Companion Pass, which lets one person fly free with you for up to two years.

There are some great deals, especially if you book during a sale and are willing to book on off days, like Tuesday and Wednesday, and during off seasons.

What’s the lowest points price you’ve ever paid for a Southwest ticket?
