American Airlines’ flight schedule has more than 50 new routes for 2018. The Fort Worth-based airline has added 52 new nonstop flights both internationally and within the U.S.
New International American Airlines Flight Schedule
American has added the following new international destinations, which begin in summer 2018:
- Budapest, Hungary
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Reykjavik, Iceland (a continually hot destination!)
New Domestic Flights
Within the U.S., key new flights include:
- Three routes from Philadelphia to Fort Wayne, Indiana; Oklahoma City; and Pensacola, Florida
- New service from both Charlotte and Dallas/Ft Worth to Panama City, Florida and South Bend, Indiana (home of the University of Notre Dame, in case there are any Irish fans out there :))
- Chicago O’Hare to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; Venice, Italy and more.
Here is a full PDF of all the new American flights.
Additionally, they are adding an hourly shuttle beginning April 4 between Chicago O’Hare and New York LaGuardia that comes with FREE beer and wine in the Main Cabin!
My favorite way to use American miles is to stretch them by taking advantage of their Reduced Mileage Awards destinations. Here’s how that program works and the current Reduced Mileage Awards destinations.
